New Kingdom Hearts "Recoded" for DS
The mysterious new Kingdom Black Maria title teased earlier this workweek is plain Land Hearts Re:Coded, a DS remake of a Japanese ambulatory phone spirited.
Remember that tidings approximately a new Land Hearts title that would be proclaimed at E3? I'm barely going to quote myself for a second, here: "Information technology's possible that the newborn divulge will constitute Kingdom Hearts: Recoded, which was accidentally 'announced' by actor Phil Snyder, set to vocalisation Jiminy Cricket."
As IT turns retired, past-Maine was right the money (intertemporal high-five!) – Square-Enix revealed its E3 lineup today, and in the list was Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded for the Nintendo Doctor of Science. Piece all we have to go on is the identify and that it will make up developed by 358/2 Days developer h.a.n.d., it's almost fated that this will constitute a more action-y remake of the Japan-only cell title Kingdom Hearts: Coded.
Now, when I say "seaborne phone mettlesome," I don't mean Snake or even something like Canabalt – Japan takes its transportable phone titles more seriously than us in the West, later all. Coded was apparently a full-fledged spinoff with supposedly PSP-quality visuals, and so it's not like we're getting a momentary, 2-hour experience for our money.
But withal, I find IT hard to generate excited or so this announcement. It's not that I don't like Kingdom Hearts, but from what I understand of Coded, the game has players revisiting (virtual recreations of the) worlds from the first game in order to fix bugs and set things right. How many multiplication have we been to those worlds past directly? Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, Re:Chain of Memories, Coded, and now Ra:Coded? That's cinque games essentially covering the same ground. That is some damn healthy-treaded ground by this point.
That aforesaid, it's not every last a letdown for Kingdom Hearts fans, since we'll too get to escort the English version of Birth By Sleep at the show. Square-Enix will also glucinium viewing The 3rd Birthday, a PSP followup to PS1 cult hit Sponge Eve, though Final Fancy Versus 13 and Final Phantasy Agito Thirteen are nowhere to be found.
